The Holiday Lineup

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is rolling out its broadest holiday foodservice push of the year across approximately 660 company-owned locations in 43 states, adding two new menu items and bringing back a roster of seasonal comfort-food staples beginning Oct. 20.

The new entries lead with Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes — buttermilk pancakes swirled with cinnamon filling and finished with cream cheese icing, served with eggs and a protein choice. The chain is also debuting the Country Fried Turkey Sandwich, a handheld version of its existing Country Fried Turkey entrée built around a crispy turkey tenderloin with gravy and cranberry relish on a toasted bun. Both items land alongside returning LTOs: the original Country Fried Turkey plate, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast, DIY Hot Chocolate, and a Cinnamon Swirl Latte available hot or iced.

The breadth of the launch — spanning breakfast daypart through dinner and into seasonal beverages — reflects a broader foodservice strategy that full-service chains have leaned on to capture incremental visits during Q4, a quarter historically driven by holiday gatherings and gifting traffic at the forecourt and inside alike.

Thanksgiving Heat & Serve

The higher-stakes play for Cracker Barrel this season is its Thanksgiving Heat & Serve program, now open for pre-order via CrackerBarrel.com and the chain's mobile app. Pickup runs Nov. 21–29 at participating stores.

Two tiers are offered. The Turkey Family Dinner, typically priced around $119.99, includes one oven-roasted turkey breast, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cornbread dressing, gravy, cranberry relish and sweet rolls — designed to feed four to six people. The Turkey Feast, typically priced around $189.99, scales up to two turkey breasts, adds mashed potatoes and includes pumpkin and pecan pies; it's sized for eight to ten guests. Individual holiday pies — pumpkin, pecan, chocolate pecan, cinnamon roll and others — are typically priced around $14.49 each.

The heat-and-serve format targets the growing segment of consumers who want a full holiday table without the prep time, a category that has expanded meaningfully since 2020 across both grocery deli and restaurant channels. For Cracker Barrel's 660-store footprint, the pre-order model also creates a measurable demand signal ahead of the chain's busiest travel-day windows, with Thanksgiving week consistently ranking among the highest-traffic periods for highway-adjacent and rural-market operators.

What Operators Should Watch

"Some of the best holiday memories happen when you're not planning on making them," said Sarah Moore, Chief Marketing Officer at Cracker Barrel, framing the campaign around incremental occasions rather than a single holiday meal event.

For the broader restaurant and foodservice channel, Cracker Barrel's simultaneous push across breakfast innovation, dinner LTOs, seasonal beverages and a pre-packaged meal program illustrates how full-service concepts are competing for wallet share across every daypart in Q4. Convenience operators watching category trends will note the dispensed-beverage play — the Cinnamon Swirl Latte in both hot and iced formats — mirrors what c-store chains have been executing at the beverage bar to capture morning and afternoon traffic during the holiday stretch.

The full holiday menu is available for a limited time at all Cracker Barrel locations nationwide.
