The Promotion

Domino's Pizza is pairing its single-serve Domino pizza with Minecraft Dungeons II in a limited-time gaming collaboration that begins Oct. 26, bundling collectible packaging, exclusive in-game digital items, and a giveaway of 20,000 game download codes into a single purchase-driven campaign. It marks the first brand partnership for Minecraft Dungeons II.

Customers who buy the Domino — the chain's made-for-one, block-cut pizza launched earlier this year — will receive one of six collectible boxes, each printed with a different Minecraft Dungeons II character including Corrupted Creeper, Prime Enchanter, Valorie, Zombie, Pig, and Creeper. The collectible box angle mirrors tactics seen in limited-time foodservice packaging programs that use physical novelty to lift check frequency and basket size.

Loyalty Tie-In

Domino's Rewards members get the deeper hook: each qualifying online Domino purchase unlocks one of three randomly awarded in-game items — a Domino's-branded avatar skin, a Slice Slayer cape, or the Domino's Cheesy Cube Pet, described by the company as the first co-branded companion pet to appear in Minecraft Dungeons II. Promo codes load directly into the member's "My Rewards" tab, keeping the transaction inside the loyalty ecosystem. The mechanic reinforces a broader loyalty-program strategy the chain has leaned on as it pushes digital ordering — more than 85.0% of U.S. retail sales ran through digital channels in 2025.

From Oct. 26 through Nov. 4, Domino's is distributing 2,000 Minecraft Dungeons II Standard Edition game codes per day — 20,000 total — to customers who purchase a Domino and submit proof of purchase at dominos.com/minecraft-dungeons-ii. The base game carries a $29.99 retail value; codes are redeemable on PC and Xbox only.

Scope and Context

The campaign spans 19 international markets including Australia, Canada, Japan, Germany, Brazil, France, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, with qualifying product, code distribution, and timing varying by country. A Minecraft Dungeons II-themed version of Domino's order Tracker is also in the pipeline, giving the promotion an additional digital touchpoint at the moment of highest customer engagement.

"When we launched the Domino, we saw an opportunity to think beyond the pizza itself and create experiences that surprise and delight customers," said Kate Trumbull, Domino's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "Minecraft Dungeons II is all about teaming up with friends for epic adventures, and the Domino is built for those same moments."

For QSR and pizza operators, the collaboration illustrates how a single SKU — in this case a made-for-one format designed around solo or small-group consumption occasions — can anchor a multi-channel marketing program. Gaming tie-ins have become a recurring promotional lever for national pizza chains targeting younger demographics, where digital ordering habits and in-game spending already overlap. Domino's operates more than 22,700 stores across more than 90 markets globally and posted trailing four-quarter global retail sales of over $20.7 billion through early September 2026.
