Hershey's Chocolate World kicks off its holiday program on November 13, bringing a broad seasonal food and beverage menu to its flagship Hershey, Pa., location and its Times Square store in New York City — with select items exclusive to Pennsylvania.
The seasonal menu is the kind of limited-time execution that convenience and specialty retailers watch closely: anchored in brand-licensed flavors, built for impulse purchase, and designed to turn a single guest visit into multiple transaction points. For channel observers, the execution illustrates how confectionery brands are extending into experiential foodservice to drive trial and reinforce brand equity beyond the shelf.
The Seasonal Menu
On the food side, the Pennsylvania location debuts the Hershey's Almond Cluster Big Cookie — a chocolate cookie loaded with crunchy almonds, caramel syrup, and flaky sea salt — alongside a Hershey's Kisses Strawberry Sugar Cookie Cheesecake and a KIT KAT Santa Mousse Parfait. Snickerdoodle Mini Cakes, Hershey's Branded Macarons, and Peppermint Fudge Brownies round out the dessert case.
Beverage is where the program runs deepest. The dispensed beverage lineup features four variations of Hershey's Melted Hot Chocolate — Affogato Mocha, Salted Caramel Creme, S'mores, and KIT KAT Peppermint Stick — each finished with relevant bar pieces. Milkshakes include the Hershey's Kisses Snickerdoodle and York Peppermint Pattie builds, available at both the Hershey, Pa., and Times Square locations. For guests 21 and older, the Pennsylvania location adds cocktails including The Milton (salted caramel vodka, coffee liqueur, Hershey's Caramel Syrup) and a Jolly Rancher Appletini, plus a York Peppermint Patty Dirty Soda launching November 4.
Milton Hershey Tie-In
A separate thread in the holiday program connects to the forthcoming Hershey film about company founder Milton Hershey. Chocolate World is offering a limited-edition Milton Hershey Movie Bear (available while supplies last), Milton's Chocolate Caramel Milkshake at Pennsylvania and Times Square locations, and Milton Hershey's Caramels — a soft chew based on his original 1894 recipe, sold in 12 oz. pouches. The Hershey's Chocolate House, an annual attraction decorated entirely with chocolate and candy that benefits the Children's Miracle Network, returns for the season with a Milton Hershey theme.
"The sweetest part of the holidays is spending time together," said Suzanne Jones, Vice President at The Hershey Experience. "At Hershey's Chocolate World, we love giving families a place to celebrate traditions, discover something new and create memories that last long after the season ends."
Operator Takeaway
The program is a useful reference point for c-store operators building out holiday foodservice programs and dispensed beverage menus. Brand-licensed seasonal flavors — peppermint, snickerdoodle, salted caramel — consistently outperform generic holiday SKUs in impulse categories, and the tiered beverage architecture (non-alcoholic milkshakes and hot chocolates alongside 21+ cocktails) mirrors what leading travel-plaza and destination operators use to capture a wider spending range per visit. The New Year's Eve family event, running December 31 from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., extends dwell time and transaction opportunity into the typically soft late-December window.
