Kentucky Fried Chicken](https://www.kfc.com) is rolling out its new Hot Ranch Big Dip system-wide starting August 24, pairing the sauce with returning Double Crispy Hot Wings in a limited-time play aimed squarely at the dipping-sauce occasion that has become a proven traffic driver in quick-service chicken.
The sauce ships as a 4-ounce portion — twice the volume of a standard condiment cup — formulated with creamy ranch, garlic and herb notes, and a chili-pepper finish. KFC is positioning the larger format as a direct answer to what it calls "ranch rationing," the customer behavior of stockpiling extra cups at the counter. Datassential data cited in the launch puts ranch affinity at 75% of U.S. consumers, with 44% eating it at least weekly, making it one of the most-requested off-the-menu add-ons in foodservice.
The Menu Lineup
Operators will run Hot Ranch Big Dip across four SKUs. Two Double Crispy Box Meals anchor the LTO: a Wings + Sandwich configuration (three Double Crispy Hot Wings, a KFC Chicken Sandwich, wedges, a 4-oz Hot Ranch Big Dip, and a medium drink) and a Wings + Tenders build (three wings, three Original Recipe Tenders, wedges, the dip, and a medium drink). Hot Ranch Loaded Wedges — a large order of crispy wedges topped with six pickle slices and drizzled with Hot Ranch — round out the food side, and the dip is also sold standalone for guests who want to apply it to any order.
The box-meal format is a proven revenue lever for KFC and its QSR peers; bundling a new sauce with a wing SKU limits operational complexity while lifting average ticket. For c-store foodservice operators watching the chicken category for competitive signals, the emphasis on a shareable dip format tracks with broader trends toward sauced and loaded applications in grab-and-go settings.
The Campaign
"Great ranch should be enjoyed, not rationed, which is why we made our Hot Ranch Big Dip twice the size," said Melissa Cash, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC U.S. The brand is backing the launch with a 60-second national commercial starring IShowSpeed, a streaming personality with a documented, multi-year on-camera history of eating at KFC locations around the world. The creative leans into a comedic misread of "Hot Ranch" — Speed arrives expecting an actual cattle ranch — before pivoting to the product.
More KFC x IShowSpeed content is scheduled for fall 2026, per the brand. Influencer-anchored LTOs have become a standard activation for Yum! Brands properties as they compete for younger consumer attention without relying solely on paid media reach. For QSR-adjacent foodservice programs at convenience retail, the tactic underscores how chicken chains are willing to spend on cultural marketing to defend share in the snacking and wing dayparts — categories where c-store operators have made meaningful inroads.
KFC operates more than 30,000 restaurants across 150 countries as a subsidiary of Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM), headquartered in Louisville, Ky. The Hot Ranch Big Dip is available for a limited time at participating U.S. locations while supplies last. Prices and participation vary.
