The New SKU

Meiomi Wines, America's top-selling Pinot Noir brand, is rolling out Meiomi Blanc White Wine to retailers nationwide at a $20.99 suggested retail price. The proprietary white blend — built from unoaked Chardonnay, Viognier, and Malvasia sourced from select Central Coast vineyards, including Arroyo Seco — marks the brand's first foray into a blended white expression and extends a portfolio that already covers Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

The wine clocks in at 14.0% ABV and leads with tropical fruit and pineapple notes layered over orange blossom, citrus, and white nectarine aromatics. Meiomi is positioning it as a more textured, richer option than its existing Sauvignon Blanc, which skews brighter and more citrus-forward.

Category Tailwind

The timing tracks a measurable category shift. Premium white blends priced above $11 posted 11% volume growth in the U.S. in the 12 weeks ending March 1, 2026, according to Circana Total US MULO+C data — one of a narrow set of traditional wine segments still in positive territory. For c-store and off-premise retailers managing a wine set under sustained category pressure, that growth rate stands out. White blends at the $15–$25 price tier have become a reliable traffic driver for shoppers trading up from commodity varietals.

"By blending unoaked Chardonnay, Viognier, and Malvasia from California's Central Coast, we've created a vibrant, approachable wine that stays true to the balance and elegance consumers expect from Meiomi," said Jason Becker, Director of Winemaking for Meiomi, "while offering a new way to enjoy the brand."

Shelf and Operator Implications

For c-store operators evaluating their wine and beer assortment, Meiomi Blanc arrives with meaningful brand equity behind it — the parent Pinot Noir is a proven velocity item in both grocery and convenience formats. The $20.99 SRP positions it squarely in the premium-accessible lane, above everyday blends but accessible enough for impulse purchase at the cooler door or ambient shelf. That price point has historically performed well in higher-volume c-store wine sets, particularly in suburban and travel-plaza locations where shoppers skew toward recognizable brand names.

Meiomi is part of The Wine Group portfolio, giving the launch solid distributor infrastructure and promotional support. Retailers looking to optimize their premium beverage mix can treat Meiomi Blanc as a line-extension add alongside the Pinot Noir rather than a net-new brand decision — lower risk, built-in trial base.
