Three New SKUs
Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is entering fall 2026 with three product launches designed to push cranberry beyond its traditional holiday window — a limited-edition Cranberry Cider Juice Drink, new Sour Apple Flavored Craisins® Dried Cranberries, and a limited-edition Cranberry Spread. The cooperative is distributing across Amazon.com, Walmart.com, select Walmart stores, Publix, and Hy-Vee, with most items rolling out in October.
The Cranberry Cider Juice Drink leads the seasonal lineup. The limited-edition beverage pairs cranberry and apple flavors with notes of cinnamon, clove, and ginger and can be served warm or chilled — positioning it squarely in the warm-occasion dispensed and packaged beverage space that convenience retailers have been expanding ahead of cooler months. It will be available on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and select Walmart stores beginning in October.
Snack and Spread
The Sour Apple Flavored Craisins® Dried Cranberries extend Ocean Spray's existing Sour lineup, combining the cooperative's signature tart cranberry base with bold apple flavor. The SKU hits Amazon.com on October 5. For c-store buyers, dried fruit and trail-mix adjacent snacks continue to hold shelf space in the better-for-you grab-and-go set, where single-serve formats drive the majority of impulse transactions.
The Cranberry Spread is the lineup's most cross-channel play. Modeled on a product already popular in the U.K. market, the smooth, fruit-forward spread is being positioned for use across dayparts — toast and breakfast items, sandwiches, and cheese boards. It begins rolling out to Publix and Hy-Vee in October. For foodservice operators building grab-and-go sandwich and charcuterie programs, a branded cranberry spread with recognizable equity offers a low-friction ingredient upgrade.
Channel Relevance
Cranberry's seasonal sales concentration has long been a challenge for the category. Ocean Spray — backed by roughly 700 family farmers across the U.S., Canada, and Chile — is explicitly using the fall launch window to stretch cranberry occasions beyond Thanksgiving. The cider-format beverage in particular mirrors a broader packaged beverage trend at c-store toward warm-serve and dual-serve formats that retailers can merchandise in both cold vault and hot dispensed areas during the October-through-December traffic peak.
"Cranberry has always been at the heart of who we are, and we're constantly exploring new ways to showcase its versatility," said Trinh Le, Vice President, USA Branded at Ocean Spray. "This fall, we're giving consumers more ways than ever to enjoy cranberry, from a cozy seasonal sip and a bold new snack to a versatile spread that brings cranberry to even more occasions."
For c-store buyers evaluating fall resets, the three SKUs span distinct fixture locations — cold vault or warm-serve for the cider drink, snack wall or better-for-you set for the Craisins, and condiment or foodservice ingredient for the spread — giving the cooperative a broader argument for incremental placement rather than a single seasonal endcap.
