The New Crust

7-Eleven, Inc. is upgrading its pizza program with a reformulated crust — described as crisp on the outside and light and airy inside — now rolling out at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores across the U.S. The chain operates or franchises more than 12,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada, giving the launch immediate national scale. The new base is designed to hold up under a full topping load while delivering what the company calls a "bubbly, golden" finish — a texture cue that tracks with broader consumer demand for artisan-style cues in value foodservice.

Pizza has become a genuine traffic driver in the convenience channel. C-store operators have expanded made-to-order and grab-and-go pizza programs aggressively over the past several years, competing directly with QSR pizza on price and convenience. A crust upgrade is a back-of-house investment that signals 7-Eleven is treating its foodservice program as a differentiated category rather than an afterthought.

Limited-Time Deals

Three promotional offers are running at launch, valid through late October 2026. First, a 2-for-$5 slice deal lets customers mix and match Cheese, Pepperoni, or 3-Meat varieties — the latter loaded with sausage, ham, bacon, beef, and Canadian bacon. Second, 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty members can grab a pizza slice plus a 20-ounce bottled soft drink for $4, bundling two high-margin categories — dispensed and grab-and-go food — into a single loyalty-exclusive transaction. Combined, the two programs count more than 100 million members, giving 7-Eleven significant reach to push the offer through its app. Third, any large whole pizza is available for $6.99 delivered via the 7NOW Delivery app through September 30, 2026 — a price point squarely aimed at capturing off-premise pizza occasions from delivery-first QSR competitors.

"Every great pizza starts with the crust, and our new crispy crust gives customers pies that are golden, bubbly and built to tackle any topping," said Brandon Brown, Senior Vice President, Fresh Foods and Beverages at 7-Eleven, Inc. "Whether fans are here for a serious cheese pull or want their pizza with all the meat, we're delivering a crust worth craving."

Channel Context

The launch fits a well-established pattern in the convenience channel: operators are investing in proprietary foodservice to lift basket size and inside-sales comps independent of fuel volume. Pizza, chicken, and roller-grill programs have been the primary growth levers for chains large and small, and tiered loyalty pricing — like the $4 slice-and-soda bundle — is increasingly the mechanism for driving attachment between food and dispensed beverage. For single-store operators and regional chains watching 7-Eleven's moves, the crust refresh is a reminder that foodservice differentiation now extends beyond toppings and portion size to ingredient-level quality signals that resonate with value-conscious but quality-aware consumers. Operators looking to compete should evaluate whether their own pizza and grab-and-go programs can make a comparable quality claim at the forecourt.
