The Seasonal Lineup
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is reactivating its fall limited-time-offer program at participating U.S. locations through Nov. 30, leaning on three returning dispensed-beverage favorites to drive repeat traffic heading into the slower shoulder season. The Maple Wave Latte ($6.05), Banana Bread Chai ($4.25), and Badass Pumpkin Latte ($7.80) anchor the fall menu, joined by a Pumpkin Swirl Bread ($3.99) on the food side. Prices vary by size and location.
The Maple Wave Latte layers maple and caramel notes with a caramel drizzle finish. The Banana Bread Chai blends banana and hazelnut with a cinnamon dusting. The Badass Pumpkin Latte combines pumpkin pie and white chocolate flavors, topped with whipped cream and cinnamon — a format that maps closely to the premium espresso-and-flavored-syrup builds that have outperformed plain drip across the specialty coffee segment for the past several selling seasons.
The Surprise Drop
The brand is also staging a second wave: on Oct. 20, a limited-edition frozen drink joins the fall lineup, extending the program's relevance into the back half of the quarter. Iain Douglas, Chief Brand and Strategy Officer at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, framed the move as a carry-forward from this summer's Koffee Koolers frozen platform. "We had a lot of fun with our frozen Koffee Koolers this summer, so we're carrying that energy into fall with a surprise drop later in the season," Douglas said.
The October frozen addition is a deliberate traffic lever. In convenience and specialty coffee, LTO fatigue typically sets in by mid-October when pumpkin novelty wears thin; a secondary drop gives operators a fresh story to tell loyalty members and casual visitors alike.
Franchise Growth Context
The seasonal push comes as the chain presses an active unit-growth campaign. With nearly 40 U.S. franchise locations currently open, Bad Ass Coffee had targeted 14 additional openings by end of 2025 and reports another 63 shops in various stages of development. That pipeline puts the brand on a trajectory toward roughly 115-plus domestic units — still a regional player by QSR standards, but a footprint large enough to register as a specialty-coffee competitor worth watching in markets where foodservice-forward c-store operators are also chasing the morning and afternoon beverage occasion.
For convenience-channel observers, the fall LTO strategy mirrors what larger dispensed-beverage programs inside c-stores have executed for years: anchor the season with familiar flavors, hold frequency with a mid-season surprise, and use limited availability to signal scarcity. The Badass Pumpkin Latte's $7.80 price point also reflects the continued consumer tolerance for premium pricing on branded espresso drinks — a dynamic that specialty coffee at retail has sustained even as broader restaurant traffic has softened.
The full fall menu is available while supplies last at participating U.S. locations. Consumers can find locations and access the loyalty app via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
