Boulder-based Chocolove is adding two nut-and-sea-salt bars to Walmart shelves this month — Pistachios & Sea Salt in Milk Chocolate and Walnuts & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate — extending the brand's sweet-and-salty set at the mass retailer to four SKUs.

The newcomers join Chocolove's existing Walmart offerings: Hawaiian Sea Salt in Strong Dark Chocolate and Almonds & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate. All four bars are debuting simultaneously in the brand's refreshed packaging design, which updates the look without changing the underlying recipes.

The SKUs

The pistachio bar pairs roasted pistachios with milk chocolate and a sea salt finish. The walnut entry goes the darker route, combining earthy walnuts with dark chocolate and sea salt for what the brand positions as a more sophisticated profile. Both fit squarely within the permissible-indulgence trend driving premium confectionery growth in the candy and snack aisle, where shoppers trade up to bars that carry a flavor story — nuts, origin cacao, or savory contrast — rather than plain chocolate.

Retail & Loyalty Angle

Chocolove is pairing the launch with an Ibotta cash-back promotion available at Walmart and other supported retailers, giving deal-seeking shoppers a digital incentive at the point of purchase. For c-store and mass operators watching category performance, Ibotta integrations have become a standard lever for trial-driving on new SKUs, particularly in the $3–$5 premium bar segment where repeat purchase rates can lag initial trial.

The bars carry Rainforest Alliance Certification, Non-GMO Project Verification, and are made with traceable cocoa beans — attributes that resonate with the growing share of shoppers who scrutinize sourcing credentials on better-for-you snack purchases.

"Our Pistachio and Walnut bars are both tasty and rich in texture, each delivering a satisfying balance of sweetness and saltiness, with a bit of crunch," said Sara Famulari, VP of Marketing at Chocolove.

Founded in 1995, Chocolove now offers more than 50 flavors across bars, cups, bites, and seasonal formats. The Walmart expansion is part of a broader push to grow the brand's footprint in high-traffic mass and grocery channels, where premium chocolate competes for impulse placement against both private-label options and nationally scaled brands.
