Pantalones Organic Tequila and boozy ice cream chain Tipsy Scoop launched a limited-edition Peaches & Cream Margarita Ice Cream on July 22, timed to National Tequila Day and available through August at all Tipsy Scoop Barlour locations. The collab marks another push by premium spirits brands to expand consumption occasions beyond the back bar — and into frozen dessert retail.
The Product and Pricing
The ice cream features fresh peach base infused with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila and a lime note, positioned as a direct riff on a peach margarita. Pricing is $8.50 per scoop or $16 per pint in-store. Consumers outside Tipsy Scoop markets can order a four-pint pack for $109.95 via Goldbelly, extending reach well beyond the chain's current Barlour footprint in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Nashville, Baltimore, Portland, Pensacola, and the Bahamas.
Later this summer, the partnership adds a Dallas-specific SKU: the Pantalones Dallas Margarita Sorbet, a dairy-free, vegan offering built around citrus sorbet with Reposado Tequila, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice. It will anchor Tipsy Scoop's newest Barlour at 506 N. Bishop Ave. in Dallas's Bishop Arts District and become a permanent menu item there — a meaningful commitment for both brands given the size of the Texas spirits market.
Why It Matters for Beverage-Alcohol
For convenience and specialty food-and-beverage retailers tracking alcohol brand extensions, the collab reflects a broader trend: spirits labels seeking shelf presence and trial in frozen and novelty dessert formats. Pantalones, co-founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey and distilled in Amatitán, Jalisco from 100% blue Weber agave, has built credibility on competitive scores — a Double Gold at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for the third straight year, pushing its Añejo to Platinum, plus 94 points from Wine Enthusiast for its Blanco and Añejo and 93 points for its Reposado. Those accolades give retail buyers and foodservice operators a quality signal when evaluating premium tequila partners for branded programs.
For Tipsy Scoop, the Pantalones deal continues a strategy of co-branding with recognized spirits labels to generate social-media-driven foot traffic. The chain has built its business around alcohol-infused novelty formats that straddle the line between bar and dessert shop — a model relevant to foodservice program development at upscale c-store operators experimenting with made-to-order frozen treats.
"Most margaritas are served on the rocks. This summer, we're deciding to serve ours by the scoop," said Persia Tatar, CMO of Pantalones Organic Tequila. Tipsy Scoop founder and CEO Melissa Tavss called margaritas "always a customer favorite" in frozen format, noting the partnership allowed both brands to deliver the cocktail experience in a scoopable form.
The national availability window through August keeps the promotion tight enough to drive urgency while the Dallas sorbet adds a permanent market anchor — a two-track retail strategy that other spirits-and-foodservice partnerships would do well to study.
