QDOBA Mexican Eats is leaning hard into its condiment lineup this fall, launching a nine-week promotional platform called Diptember that runs September 1 through November 2 at participating locations across its 870-unit system. The centerpiece is Queso Fundido, a new limited-time dip that layers the chain's Signature 3-Cheese Queso with seasoned ground beef, picante ranch and fresh cilantro, served alongside freshly fried, salt-and-lime tortilla chips. The item starts at $6.25 as a side and is also available as a catering add-on.

The promotion is a direct play on QDOBA's longstanding no-upcharge dip policy — all 14 dips, salsas and sauces can be added to create-your-own entrées at no extra cost — positioning variety and customization as a traffic driver against both QSR taco competitors and fast-casual peers. For c-store operators who carry QDOBA as a foodservice program or who benchmark against fast-casual attach rates on condiment SKUs, the scale of QDOBA's dip lineup is a relevant data point: 14 options at no upcharge is an unusual value architecture in the segment.

Digital Offers & Key Dates

To seed trial of Queso Fundido at launch, QDOBA is offering $2 off digital orders that include the new dip from September 1–6 using code FUNDIDO, redeemable exclusively through the QDOBA website or app — not valid on third-party delivery. Two food-holiday hooks anchor the mid-month calendar: National Guacamole Day (September 16) triggers a free 4-oz. chips-and-guac with any regular entrée purchase using code GUACDAY, while National Queso Day (September 20) delivers a free 4-oz. chips-and-queso via code QUESODAY. Both food-holiday offers are redeemable in-restaurant or online.

The digital-only restriction on the launch offer reflects a broader industry push to drive loyalty app installs and first-party data capture — a strategy well-documented in the convenience and foodservice loyalty space, where operators increasingly gate promotional value behind owned digital channels rather than aggregator platforms.

Sweet Side Expands the Lineup

Also debuting September 1 is Churro Chips Chocolate Dip, priced from $2.75 and billed as QDOBA's first-ever sweet dip. It pairs with the chain's recently introduced Churro Chips — freshly fried in-house with classic churro seasoning — extending the dip occasion beyond savory into dessert. For multi-unit foodservice operators tracking menu architecture trends, the move mirrors a wider fast-casual pattern of bolting dessert or snack SKUs onto existing back-of-house fry capacity without adding equipment.

"Customization is at the heart of the QDOBA experience," said Chef Katy Velazquez, VP of Culinary Innovation at QDOBA. "With 14 dips, salsas, and sauces available across our menu, guests can create a different flavor experience every time they visit."

QDOBA operates in 46 U.S. states as well as Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan and South Korea, and has ranked among the top fast-casual chains in the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards for seven consecutive years, including six years at No. 1.
