The New SKUs
Momofuku Goods, the pantry brand developed by Chef David Chang and the Momofuku Culinary Lab, is adding five cooking sauces to a retail footprint that already spans more than 13,000 stores nationwide. The line — Chili Crunch Sauce, Momoyaki Sauce, Sweet & Spicy Sauce, Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Miso Ginger Sauce — retails at $7.99–$8.99 per unit and is positioned as a multi-occasion condiment play covering marinades, stir-fries, and finishing applications.
The anchor SKU is Chili Crunch Sauce, a pourable evolution of the brand's cult-status Chili Crunch, blending chili crunch, miso, and garlic into a smooth, drizzle-ready format. Momoyaki Sauce draws from the chicken marinade at the brand's Bāng Bar restaurant, leaning on soy, ginger, and garlic for a less-sweet alternative to conventional teriyaki. Sweet & Spicy Sauce is anchored by gochujang and soy, inspired by the rice cake dish at Momofuku Noodle Bar, while Miso Ginger Sauce traces its lineage to the galbi marinade at Los Angeles' Majordomo. Sweet & Sour rounds out the set with Chili Crunch and vinegar in a format aimed at stir-fries and seafood applications.
Retail & Foodservice Channel Reach
The sauces are scheduled to hit shelves at Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Albertsons, Target, Publix, HEB, and HyVee over the next several months, with e-commerce availability via Amazon and shop.momofuku.com following shortly. That distribution network layers on top of Momofuku Goods' existing presence at Costco and other mass and natural-channel partners — a scale that puts the brand squarely in range of the impulse condiment set that convenience operators and foodservice-adjacent retailers have increasingly targeted as a high-margin packaged goods category.
The sauce category itself has been a consistent growth driver in grocery and natural channels, where Asian-inspired and globally flavored SKUs have outpaced conventional condiment growth. For convenience retailers evaluating grab-and-go or ancillary packaged grocery sets, a recognizable chef-brand entry at under $9 fits a price point that has shown strong attach rates alongside prepared food sections.
Drizzle + Drip Tour
To support the launch, Momofuku Goods kicks off the multi-city "Drizzle + Drip" food truck tour on September 23, co-presented with functional soda brand OLIPOP. The tour makes stops in Boston (Sept. 23–27), Dallas (Oct. 7–11), and Los Angeles (Oct. 21–25), offering sampling of all five sauces alongside OLIPOP's limited-time Caramel Apple soda — a seasonal SKU with 3 grams of sugar and high fiber. The pairing of a condiment launch with a functional dispensed-beverage brand reflects a broader co-marketing trend in the better-for-you beverage segment, where brands with overlapping natural-channel distribution are bundling trial activations to reduce cost-per-sample.
OLIPOP, which launched in 2018 and is now distributed in more than 65,000 grocery locations, represents the functional soda segment's push into mainstream retail — a trajectory that mirrors Momofuku Goods' own expansion from specialty to mass. The tour also features activations with Korean beauty and lifestyle retailer OLIVE YOUNG, including giveaways and a charm bar, signaling a lifestyle-brand positioning that extends beyond the grocery aisle.
